We’re excited to share that Coolset has been invited to lead workshops on best practices for CSRD audits and double-materiality assessment at CSRD Day in Nieuwegein.
In preparation for the event, CSRD Day interviewed our CEO, Konstantinos Kouzelis, to discuss how Coolset simplifies CSRD reporting and helps them achieve compliance.

As sustainability regulations tighten, companies are under increasing pressure to meet the demands of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Navigating through the complex maze of requirements can seem daunting, but becoming compliant and driving real impact doesn’t have to be difficult. According to Konstantinos Kouzelis, CEO of Coolset, it’s possible to simplify the process and unlock new opportunities along the way.
At Coolset, we’re not just talking about compliance—we’re empowering companies to take control of it. As a key partner of CSRD Day, we’re committed to helping organizations meet the evolving sustainability standards.
“Coolset is a sustainability management platform designed to help businesses get CSRD-compliant and gain actionable insights on their impact,” explains Konstantinos. “By using our platform, clients can fast-track compliance, streamline data collection, and optimize workflows. They’re equipped to produce audit-ready, consistent reports in line with DMA, ESRS, and other regulatory frameworks. Our integrated solution ensures companies retain vital knowledge while staying compliant.”
Knowledge retention and sharing are critical to sustainability success. For Konstantinos, this isn’t just about following regulations, but also about seizing opportunities: “We host regular webinars and provide resources like articles, templates, and guides to help companies stay informed and build awareness. Our involvement in the CSRD Day program reflects our commitment to knowledge sharing. We also demonstrate how Coolset goes beyond basic compliance, offering tools to measure your carbon footprint across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. With the right insights, companies can take action on meaningful improvements.”
At CSRD Day, participants can dive into hands-on sessions that provide practical guidance. In one such session, sustainability expert Jasper Akkermans will lead a workshop on ‘How to choose the right IROs: the essence of double materiality.’ Participants will learn how to identify key Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities (IROs) using the double materiality approach—crucial for meeting CSRD requirements and understanding both internal and external risks.

Konstantinos will also lead a session on ‘CSRD audits explained: Best practices and EFRAG guidelines,’ where he’ll break down how companies can prepare for CSRD audits by following the latest European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) standards. Attendees will walk away with practical strategies for conducting successful audits, ensuring compliance, and improving the quality of their sustainability reporting.
By the end of these sessions, participants will have the tools to jump-start their CSRD compliance journey. Konstantinos shares, “We guide companies from zero to CSRD-compliance using our software, without the need for external consultants. Of course, we offer access to our extensive partner network if additional support is needed, but the platform is designed so that teams—whether it’s the CEO, CFO, or sustainability manager—can collaborate efficiently and ensure compliance. Everything is centralized, making audits simpler and ensuring that organizations are future-proof.”
